Job Description
The Town of Belmont is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Public Health Nurse. This opportunity will enable the successful professional candidate to join a dedicated team that provides high quality services to the community of Belmont!
The Public Health Nurse will perform clinical and technical work to conduct communicable disease investigations and related follow-up including, but not limited to, tuberculosis DOT management, pertussis, measles, chicken pox, norovirus, and other situations of public health concern. In addition, this role will plan and implement immunization clinics, provide general health education programs to the public, and work closely with regional municipal health departments and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a minimum of two years of experience in health department nursing, hospital nursing, school nursing, or related area; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job is required. Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
